where is the water separating fuel filter on a mercruiser 5.7 350 mpi horizon?

I have a 350 MAG and mine is on the front starboard side of the engine, down by the water pump. Not sure if yours is the same.

It depends what year the engine is. It could be a cool fuel Gen 2 or 3. If it is Gen 2 you have the oil filter style. If Gen 3 Dave's post will help you.

For reference (according to what I have seen)

Usually
2005 up is Gen3
2004 down is Gen 2

I think the transition was done in early 2005 production.

When you find it, get the part number off it and google that number. You'll find sources online that are MUCH cheaper than the West Marine's of the world. You probably will have to buy a dozen of them, but that will only encourage you to change them annually rather than every decade.
