Water Lift or Log Exhaust - which is better?

Regarding water reversion into engines. 7.4 Merc V-drives. How can you tell the difference between the 2, which one is the better to have?

Can you change one out for the other? I've had reversion probs before on previous boat. thanks

Didn't Sea Ray have water reversion issues using log style mufflers in some models? They wound up converting those over to water lift style to solve the issue.

Water lift is preferred.

And if you switch over to water lift, throw away the instructions for flushing your engines using the hose connectors to the raw water pump outlet hose, unless you run the engines while flushing. Being one of the first 370s that was switched over, I had to point that nugget out to both Marine Max service, and Mercury.
