I’ve got a slight water leak in the cabin on the starboard side of my 270. Water will pool up on the shelf just above the shore power controls/breakers and then sometimes find it’s way down to the counter top of the galley. I’ve narrowed it down to above the rub rail and even the port light. Pretty positive it’s coming from either the windshield frame or even more likely the windshield wiper post. How do I remove this trim piece in the cabin to take a look? I’ve actually found a drop or two of water on this piece as well so I’m pretty sure what I’m looking for is behind that cover. Thanks

Why not just take the light out and look in through there?

But, to remove... the vinyl is not stapled all the way around the perimeter of that piece. There are 6"-ish gaps where there are no staples, every so often, so that you can gently pull the vinyl away to expose a screw.

The portlight is easy to ID as a leak source. Just hit the outside with a hose (and similar for other areas). The portlight caulking could be failing if it hasn't been redone lately, the rubber seal could be shot or the latches may just need to be tightened - depends on where it leaks.

I didn’t even think about removing the light to look up there. It’s definitely not the port light because I find drips above it ON that trim piece. I’ve gone through all the port lights and they are good. A little dielectric grease and tightening up the latches took care of those. Thanks for the advice. I’ll let ya know what I find.
