I have a leak that I just found the other day. I was removing the saloon door and removed the screws that hold the overhead plastic strip. when I did that water poured out from the first two scres on the port side the rest were dry.

I am not sure where to start to look for the source of the leak?

The bridge has a full canvas bimini and enclosure.
The boat sits somewhat stern down so I would think that the water is comming in someware forward of the door but where is the question?

I do in heavy rain get water into the bridge so what I have been thinking is that I need to recaulk all of the carpet snaps and around the railing stancions and screws.

I can't find any sign of water in the overhead inside the saloon or in the lights in the overhang.

So has anyone who had a 400 DB run into this or seen it before?
If so what was the cause?

Matt

I used to have a 400DB. There are supposed to be drain holes on each side of the flybridge, at the "point" on each side. I didn't have a drain hole on one side, and as a result the flybridge base filled up with water. I noticed when water started showing up in the light fixtures above the door.

Might be worth a check.

Great I will check but where are the "points"? are they the holes above the Sea Ray emblem?

Matt

If you're looking from the port side of your boat, above and to the left of the emblem the flybridge fiberglass comes down in a point. In the base of those there is supposed to be a drain hole. On my boat there was one on the SB side, but not the port side.
