I had some water in the hold in the picture below. There are 2 hoses on the port side of the hold. I assume they are from the water tank. Didn’t see any obvious leaks in them. Has anyone had a similar issue, and can anyone confirm the hoses are from the holding tank? Thank you.

I have a 1988 340 and just dealt with the same problem. On my boat those hoses were for the air conditioner. I don’t have any water hoses in the hold. For me, the water in that area came from a leaking fresh water tank which is underneath the dinette next to that hold. This era of sea ray is notorious for leaking fresh water tanks.

Depending on where you are it could be condensation. Happened to us this spring. Cold water high out door temp and rain off and on. Went away when we left hatch open.

We just had a crazy heat wave. The air was on full blast for days. I am thinking the AC/condensation is the culprit but will fill the fresh water tank

I filled the freshwater tank and all is good. Looks to me like it may be the condensate line from the AC. Does anyone know if that line should be plumbed into the forward “bath” bilge. Mine just dead ends and dumps under the floor.

Glad it’s not the fresh water tank. My condensate line goes to the shower sump. I can’t answer if yours should be plumbed there. I would think it’s the better option though.

If you have a moment next time you are at the boat, could you send a few pictures of how yours is plumbed?

This is one fix for AC condensation. Mermaid Air sells a Condensator valve. This is the information about it.
Our condensation removal device is the easiest way to keep your bilge or sump pumps dry and protected. Our units function on the Venturi principle, which uses a vacuum effect that pulls the condensation water out of the drain pan, combines it with any discharge water, and sends it overboard where it belongs.

I just got a 370 Sundancer and had a similar issue. I had water in the hold as well. Here was the problem. The drip tray for the forward AC unit was plumed to the OUTPUT from the sump bilge. So when you used the shower the bilge would pump the water INTO the drip tray and of course it would overfill and run into the hold. Wasn't quite so easy to figure this out since tubes disappear into nooks and crannies. While I was doing this i changed all the worm clamps and re seated the tubes. Completely dry now. Good luck.

Condensator valve from Mermaid is simply a valve that splices into the outlet of the water supply for the AC unit. To explain it simply, it is a copper tube in the AC water line with a hose going to it to pull the water out of the condensation tray when the water is flowing through the hose. The condensation water then flows out with the rest of the water.
