I have been looking on here for someone that had a problem on a 99 340 DA with water accumulating in the rear berth floor compartment. My bilge is dry, my AC hasn't been running, the shower drain is winterized and hasn't been used in 2 weeks.

Any idea where the water could be coming from?

While I am asking, I get about 12 ouces of water in the front berth compartment (the one under the mattress every year.

Any idea where the water could be coming from.

I am sure there is a post on here for this but I looked and find a few posts but nothing about a 34 foot sundancer.

Thanks!

Did you recently fill your fresh water tank? In my 310, the water tank is under the aft berth. I had a leaky inspection port on the top of my tank that would allow the tank to overflow when filled. This resulted in water in that area.

I have an 02 310 and had a similar issue. Turned out to be the porthole side windows. Water ran in, down the side, and found the low spot below the mattress/table.

This is a very common source of water / leaks. Always the first thing I check / recommend.

I didn't just fill the water tank. I have rebedded everything on the front of the boat - foot pedals for windlass, search light, anchor, anchor locker and all the hatches. I did not do anything with the windows on the side. It is a possibility. Easy to remove and rebed the windows?

Lunacy, what did you do to remove the portlights? Did you follow a thread on here? Did they need new gaskets or did you use caulk? Thanks

Before you rebed the windows simply check that they are tightly closed. And check to make sure the screws on the clamps are tight. That's all it took to stop some slight leaking on my '99 340. Check 'em all while you're at it...

Can’t help with the water since i have not had that issue, but when you search you should also search the 330 da forum here and also include 330’s in your search. Other than some small differences (higher arch and different engine choices) your 99 340 is virtually the same as the the 1995 to 1999 330 Sundancers.

Just tighten the screws from the inside. All of mine needed tightened, some 4-5 turns meaning they were hanging on by the last thread.

By "rear berth" are you talking about the mid state room? If so, I get wet carpet there as well. I haven't messed with the port light yet. That's next.

I had the same problem with my 2000 31 Sundancer. The problem was the trim molding (the rubber molding between the glass and window frame) in the side windshield at the bottom rear corner near the radar arch, shrank leaving a 1/4" gap. That allowed water to enter the aft through several ways. I filled the gap with clear silicone. Problem solved! Also water can enter through the air vent located at the bottom of the radar arch on the starboard side which can find its way in the aft cabin.

I'll check those too!
