Hi all, I have purchased a 78 SRV 240 and was filling the water tank via garden hose and found water seeping from under the sink cabinet and the wall next to the sink...how hard is it to pull the tank out and check where it leaked? or any other suggestions?
Thanks...

I dont know about your boat but that has got to be a project!

This may go without saying but... Before you start make sure both ends of the filler tube are secure as well as the rest of the fittings on both (if you have hot water) tanks.

sorry i am new, but how would i get to the filler tubes? i think when it overflowed from filling it didnt go out of the boat but inside instead, there must be an overflow protection? no?

I am by no means an expert & your tank mey indeed have a leak but I'll bet its a less tramatic issue causing your problem.

Dont be sorry but do slow down a bit. Before you even contemplate removing the tank, spend as few minutes identifying how the system is set up. Make sure that any hose clamps/ connections are properly connected & tight. The system likely has an overflow that allows water to flow overboard. Make sure it is clear of debris. You should have noticed it flowing water when the tank was full. Did you?

yes i did, it flowed out of the port side....then the second time it never did...could a clog in the sink cause anything.....it seems to clog very easily

A clogged drain line can cause problems but it would be unrelated to filling the tank. When you say "the second time it never did", now that is a concern. Like I mentioned earlier, spend a few minutes checking things out. Then dry up any water, turn the system off, & have a buddy fill the tank while you watch from down below.

yeah thanks, thats what i am going to do....i might have put the water in with too much pressure and popped a seal, just have to figure out how to get to the back of it...

I don't think there is an overflow. If you pull out the fridge then you should have plenty of access to the tank & lines.
