Hey, what boat do you have?? My water heater it's shot in my 268 DA and I might be able to use your suggestions.

Mine is disconnected and I'm trying to figure out where to hook up to motor cooling system for heated water while running. Post some engine/hose hook up pix. please! Thanks!

There are generally two connections in the from for the engine to heat from one inlet and one outlet return generally the heater hoses are together near it. If the heater hoses are bypassing the water heater it may be for good reason. With salt water cooled engines the engine side usually took a beating and sometime the connections nipples corroded and broke off (from personal experience).

On the one pictured above you can see the nipple attachments.

I will add pics of the installation . I may add a valve in the line from the engine cooling system just to be able to take the heater out of the loop in case it ever fails.

I'm working on my water system as we speak and I think my hot water heater might work because when I push the breaker on, I can see the voltage meet fluctuate. I will update. Right now, I dropped a fitting in the bilge and I gotta get it.... Boating it's fun.
