I hate leather bands. I wash my hands about 90 times a day (no, not OCD, I'm a Dentist) so the leather gets ruined. But, my point being my Citizen stopped after not wearing for years after I got my Tag. Tag battery died so I sent it in. Citizen wouldn't keep time after sun time. I took it to a local dealer and they got it set. The thing about my Citizen is it keeps the date right. Silly complaint, but it's a better watch than my Tag IMO.

That's an option? I see it notifies me, then I answer it, but I can't hear a thing. It's usually when I'm running to my phone in the other room. I answer it and yell, "Hang on....hang on....hang on....." and then pick my phone up.

I use leather and steel bands for dressy and rubber every other time.

The g-shocks are rugged and take an absolute beating from dirt biking, swimming, wrenching, anything. The luminox's are a bit nicer but can still take a hit.

I currently have the Venue 2 Plus and that has the speaker in it and will act as a speaker phone. Not all Garmin watches have this feature. But the Venue 2 Plus has the exact same features as the more expensive watches and is half that price.

I'll have to look in the settings. It's weird I have the option to answer, and it does have a speaker (beeps and buzzes) but I never hear anything when a call comes in. You'd think if the watch had the option to answer it would use an internal speaker? This wouldn't be the de facto, but when the phone is in the other room, it'd be nice to take an expected call.

I believe if you have this feature, in settings there will be "Phone Calling".

I have a stainless steel Rolex that I bought years ago, I paid $850 for it if that gives you an idea how old it is - it's the only watch I have ever had and I pretty much wear it every day and everywhere. Today they are so expensive, I doubt I would ever buy a new one. I do have a Timex Iron Man that I wear to run in.

I wear a wrist watch, no built in gadgets, just real hands going around.

I have a Tag Mariner that my wife gave me for Christmas 20 years ago. Local dealer charges me $20 to change the battery and seals every 3 years or so. A couple years ago it needed a refresh. Sent it to TAG, new face and hands, new stem, a couple gears and all new seals. It cost about $500 or about 25% of replacement cost. It has a ruby crystal that does not have a single scratch on it even though I wear it every day, even when wrenching on the boat. I love the watch and can't imagine replacing it.

After my heart attack I bought a Samsung smart watch to track my ECG and pulse. Turns out I didn't need it. But I wear it at night to track my sleep. It is nice being able to answer my phone with it, but I don't use that very often.

The Rolex and Tag both require messing with the day every month that doesn't have 31 days. The Rolex really isn't all that accurate. I was resetting the time about every month or two. The Citizen will keep the day of the week and date without adjusting anything until the year 2100 (pretty sure I won't make it to find out ;)) and it connects nightly to adjust the time.

I have a Rolex Explorer II. When I wear it I set the time and leave the date alone. I'll only be wearing for a short period of time on that specific date. I may wear it once a month.

On a Tag you're supposed to set the time to 6PMish before changing the date. So if yer doing it right you'd be setting the time pretty regularly at any rate :)

I still wear a watch every day as well. I switched to a very basic Galaxy Fit 2 years ago because my employer was giving me about $500 a quarter in Amazon gift cards to track my steps. It's cool to track your sleep. That and time is all I use it for now though. On my best night, per this Fit, I get 40 mins of Deep sleep...ugh.

I guess I am kind of old school, in that I still wear a watch everyday. No smart watches yet, but I have been looking at some Samsung smart watches that are pretty cool.
Movado, Rolex and Tags are what I have been wearing for a while. The Movado was a gift from my boat club when I was Commodore and I wear it daily.

no. they were told when they were hired that if they hit a certain quota in their first year they would get a Rolex of their choice. It is only available to first year hires. The company was Northwest Mutual. Not sure what the quota was but i think it was their manager that did this and not the company. he was making $500,000 a year off of them so he incentivized them...lol. She doesn't work there anymore but got to keep the watch...lol

I wear a reg. watch every day & night (when I traveled, that was easier to read then hotel room clocks, became a habit). Either a G-shock or Tag.

Through my working life I always wore inexpensive watches. I would wreck a watch in a year so there was no point in having a good watch for everyday wear and I couldn’t stand to be without one. I would always just scrub the watch right along with my arms and hands with the Go-Jo to get the grease and diesel off of it before leaving work and then wear it in the shower when I got home. Still do the same thing. Old dogs I guess.
