Not quite Four Suns material but was our first ocean trip.
Admiral and I made our first salt trip yesterday and it was AWESOME:thumbsup:. After some suggestions and research we decided to launch at Barn Island Launch. Launch was great; clean plenty of room but got rather crowded for parking.
Anyway, we navigated to bay area around Napatree point and around up the coast towards Matunuck. We decided we wanted to grab a bite so we headed in the cove and pulled into shallows and anchored the boat a couple ffet from shore and walked into Watch Hill. Lunch was great, scallop ceviche:grin:.
Met up with a friend who had his newly aquired trawler there and hung out with him for a bit.
Worst part of the day was having dead batteries in the camera:smt013.
All in all the day was great though.
Needless to say we are hooked on the salt!:smt038

Hopefully this was on Saturday (not today).

We have done the Napatree weekend three time already this year. It is an awesome spot for a day trip or an overnight. And for us, it is a short, 1 hr. 15 minute cruise.

If it were not for the broken propeller shaft friday night, we would have been there with you!

The human body has the exact same concentration of salt as the worlds oceans. Welcome home!

We almost went to your area to look around and possibly head up the river to Essex. All in all we really liked this spot. Totally different kin of boating than we are used too. We are hooked.
Only problem is we may have to wait until next season to get down there again since the admiral is about 7 mons preg! She's a trooper but its a long day with a 1.5 hour drive each way
