Waste Tank Connector on Sboard Side (260 Sundancer)

The waste, water, and fuel deck plates are vertical (as in many boats). On my previous boat however they were horizontal. For water and fuel I'm not too concerned b/c they have a chain, but this of course can't be done for the waste cap. My fear is that it's too easy to lose it overboard. Is there any trick to this other than being very careful when opening/closing the waste cap?

Yes...........

Buy a spare cap and keep it on the boat. Sooner or later you will need it.
