Warning Buzzer doesn't sound

Hi all . This is my first post .

I'm new to quality boating and purchased our searay 215 a few weeks back .

Had a few issues at first but they are nearly all fixed .

I didn't realise that when turning on and starting the boat I should here an audible buzzer .

I don't hear anything .
So where should I start ?
Can I check to see if it has been disconnected ?
Where is it located ?

Since purchase I've had to fit new power steering pipes because they were leaking
Both manifolds and risers , thermostat and given it a full service .

I suspect the buzzer will have been disconnected because it had an over heat issue when I bought it that was caused by a blocked manifold ..

The buzzer is often zip tied (but of course, not always) to the steering rack. Pull your gauge panel out and have a look. It's about 1"-2" in diameter, black plastic. It's wires are very small gauge (22gauge?). It should sound when you first turn the key on because the engine does not yet have oil pressure. So it's the oil pressure sensor that makes it sound. An easy test for the system is to turn the key on and then manually push the drive fluid float down or short it's two connectors together. If that doesn't make the buzzer sound, then go back to your original line of thinking and check the buzzer.

Found it yesterday . Looks like a little black Hockeye puc .

It is connected .

Hockey puck - yes, that is it.

It's "connected"... what do you mean by that? Did you trace the wires all the way back to their source (or at least until the wiring disappears inside a harness)? FYI, you can jump 12V to it to test it, if the other test doesn't activate it - just to double check if it's operational.
