warm vs cool led

quick question for you>>>> i am replaceing all of my intierior bulbs with led bulbs. should i use warm or cool??? which are brighter (better to read by)??? any input welcome

I believe I went with warm for the interior lights. Cool have a blue tint to them.

I have both and dont like the the cool ones, too much like an operating room or fish tank..
Go with the warm and make sure to get ones bright enough.

Warm white LEDs have a yellow tint whereas the cool lights are bright white. I personally prefer the cool LEDs because they are so much brighter.

I got some of both and went with all warm after trying both. The cool are too harsh for my liking and the warm are plenty bright for what i do below deck. Sort of like fluorescent harsh. I went with warm for the led strips for under the padded strips in the berths too.

Agreed! Just changed out all interior lights this week with the cool. Not just for the battery savings, but they don't generate any heat. We need all the help we can down here!!

I bought three pairs of various whites to test them out. I don't like the stark look of the cool. If you want to read by them, you may consider cool in certain areas, but, they may not look good mixed. I just put the unused ones to use in my anchor light. I was glad to have the spares lying around. I'm not worried about the 2 mile rule. I've seen them from over 3 miles away. I also don't like too much light over the boats at anchor either. It can be distracting. If someone hits our boats at anchor, they were about to hit the shore anyway.

Went with the warm bulbs in the cabin and cool on the back deck... Very happy with the results

All warm whites for the interior here, as the cool was too stark for me. Used a cool white in the stern light. Anchor light was replaced during a radar and mount install. It's cool white and CG certified. Looks great.
