The radio is 9 years old and Raymarine has discontinued the radio and it's accessories. Mine is gone and therefore I can't use my radio at all.

I think you are going to probably need to replace the radio. On my 2000 - 260 - I replaced mine with a 215 Raymarine Radio. My 210 had a bad microphone as well. Could not find one after searching eBay. So replaced the radio. The Raymarine Radios in my opinion are overpriced and questionable performance for the price. The Icom is a better radio and Standard Horizon makes some nice quality radios. My boat has a Northstar Radio and has been nice. If you could get a new connector for the radio - you might be able to repair the radio. The connector is the weak link and is usually the issue with the microphone.

I did the connector repair two years ago, because I foolishly thought that replacing the connector would be a cheap fix. Turns out for that you can just about buy a new radio for the price of a new connector replacement from RM ($ 259.00)!

This might be completely off, but did you just purchase "Honey Ginger"? I am friends with the previous owner and tried to help him locate a replacement mic when he listed the boat with no luck. As others have suggested, if you could find one, the cost was close to what you can buy a decent VHF for in the first place.

Good luck... Dan

and by the way, nice boat!!!

Good call! In deed it was Honey Ginger. She is now known as WHATEVER. We have loved this boat (65 hrs since July). As a matter of fact she's getting her bottom painted next week.
Bye the way, I have had one person that may have an old 210 in his basement. Hopefully that will work out. If not it is time for a new radio.

Thanks....Paul

I have never had a mic. The owners manual shows that the radio had the capability to change channels from the mic. It also had a 16/9 channel key.

Todd,

Did that fit into the dashboard, or did you have to modify it?

Henry

I made an ABS bezel to adapt it to the old opening. Worked and looked good. I still need to take pics. There are a couple guys on the '99-'04 260DA thread that want to see it.
