Looking for a M5170. Used is fine (New if I’m real lucky). This model is older (mid to late 90’s). Perhaps you upgraded out your old M5170 and it is now collecting dust on a shelf. I’m looking to swap out my unit which has died (and I don’t want to upgrade/re-wire). Email rkachmarik@pearne.com

If you can wait a little bit I think that is the model in my boat. I am upgrading this winter. Let me know if you don't get one sooner.

Mine is SOLD !!. :smt001

M5170 Casette Deck Head Unit (4x15 watts)
A2030 Amplifier (2x30 watts)
6 Disc Changer (unsure of model Number)
Helm Remote

Also included are the original wiring harnesses and disc changer cable and what manuals I have (I believe to be all).

The helm remote extension cable is not for sale (still being used)
It wouldn't fit where my radio is now. :smt021

I don't know what the stock model of Clarion mine is, but it's a AM/FM/Super cool cassette and external CD changer. It's one of my projects this fall/winter to swap out as well. I'd like to move toward the 21 century and get the iPod port.

I have one also for sale that I bought from a member on here .:smt001

It wouldn't fit where my radio is now. :smt021

I have a 5470 with CD changer laying around if you are interested.

I'm looking for a stereo for a cheap 16 footer (non-Sea ray) I just picked up. Let me know what you are asking.

Dear tdscafer and dpmulvey and Nehalennia (and possibly Wayne's World) and even others,

Thanks for all of the responses. I'm not necessarily in a rush to get the replacement. I'm actually less than one month from wrapping the boat for the winter. I can even wait and drop the purchased radio in come springtime.

How about whenever someone pulls their respective radio (either out of their boat or off their shelf), let me know. My email is rkachmarik@pearne.com

I do want the unit to be a direct match and thus must be a Clarion M5170. I do want to do it as a plug and play. (If I am doing rewiring, I’m doing a complete upgrade to a new model.)

So let me know. I guess I will say first come, first served (I only need one). Please feel free to email me with questions as time goes on to see if I have purchased a unit from someone else. I will update this posting thread if I do get a unit.

If it will help I’ll try to post a picture of my old unit that died.

THanks again.

I too am going to replace my M5170, changer and remote this winter; everything works perfectly. Let the bidding begin.:smt024

IMHO get a new one. I replaced my 5170 with a 309. (Tossed out the 5170 sorry) WOW what a difference in sound. If you are going to do the work to replace the unit upgrade it, don't put in outdated technology. It does suck that Clarion does not offer a limited connection to older remotes.

Wow great how much you want for it,youll also have to find out cost of postage to Scotland??!!!!I really made an error in asking for a M 5170 as it was actually the M5470 I need.,will also take the changer,it will be handy if my one goes faulty.my email is n@sanfena.com.
Look forward to your correspondence.Neil
