They are all over the place where I am! The internet can be a useful tool!

Good luck!

Cheers

You looking for a pristine boat priced accordingly, or an okay boat that's priced to sell? There don't seem to be many deals around right now on 400/410 diesel Dancers, but you can find some amazing deals on EC's. It's somewhat surprising how well nicely maintained late-90's/early-00's Sundancers are holding their value compared to their EC counterparts. If you're looking at Dancers, you're going to be faced with a bunch of questionably maintained boats or boats that need new carpet/canvas/upholstery/etc, and those boats will be priced fairly. Or you're going to find a few pristine models that need absolutely nothing, and they're going to be priced 50% higher. (Not hyperbole; you can find a '98 diesel 400 for anywhere from $89k-$149k; identical boats) If you start looking at EC's, then there are some phenomenal buys out there, and they're all over.

Z- Agreed. Lots of deferred maintenance out there. Thanks for the post!

There seems to be a waiting list for the excellent boats these days. I tend to think the real values are in the low time, dock queen diesel boats where deferred mechanical maintenance means only an oil change, cleaning the cooling system and new seawater pumps, but with run down worn canvas, carpet and upholstery. That boat will sell on the low end, add $15K in making her the way you want her and you'd have one heck of a buy with a built in profit if you decided to sell her.

I'm with Frank. There seem to be a lot of great dock queens out there on inland lakes throughout the Midwest. If you're open to some shipping, that will really expand your options.
