I have a 1997 sundancer with 3116 turbo cats. Does anyone have a line on replacement filters they are the tapered ones? Can't afford to replace entire seps. they are the ones where the inner filter cannot be replaced.
 
Walker sells just the replacement filter element. They are made by K&N, but the tapered one wasn't available except from Walker when I tried to get replacements a few years ago.
 
The technical expert at Walker is great. He'll talk about his product in detail with you. Its worth giving them a call and talking to him for the learning experience.

Exactly, there is some license protection for Walker... I tried to go around them and it was a dead end.
 
Just to let you know, unless those filters are damaged all you need to do is clean them. You can purchase the cleaning kit from walker or just get the cleaning kit for K&N filters from auto zone etc. there is a solution you spray on, let sit and then rinse off with water.. Then once dry you spray the filters with the oil that comes with the kit. The cotton absorbs the oil and the particulates in the air adhere to the oil.

How old are they? Walker recommends to replace them after the 3rd cleaning/1000 hours. I just replaced both of mine (I am at a little over 1000 hours). They wouldn't clean anymore.
 
Talk to Mr. Leo Larue at Walker Engineering. Not only will you get the filters you need, but by the time you get off the phone, you'll know everything there is to know about the system.
