I am very interested in installing one of the Speaker- Light combo packs like the one offered in liquidaudiosounds.com.
I do not know if this will work because of the canopy that has to fold under the tower. Does anyone have a setup like this ? Also if I install the tower speakers will thet take the place of the factory speakers installed by SeaRay? Would also like to install Sirius radio but still want to be able to use the dashboard remote

Makes1 I am deleting your post in General Discussion. Duplication of a post won't get you any more answers. :smt024

does typing in bold get you more responses? just kidding you!

Welcome makes1! It might be helpful if you give us some info on your boat. I know several people on the old site went back and had towers put on their boats.

I thought towers usually had their own bimini set ups.

Boat Info

Boat is a 2002 SeaRay 220 Sundeck. I have not had a chance to measure how much space I would have when the canopy passes under the tower because boat is in winter storage on the Tennessee River. Does anyone have a boat like this with speakers and or Lights on the tower.

Sorry about the double post, new to the forum and not quite an expert yet, also type in bold sometime because of cataracts and can see it better

Looking at that I don't think it is going to fit unless you leave the bimini down or take it off completely. If you can live without the bimini on days you are sure all your going to do is wake board then it might work out fine. :smt001

Very nice looking rig.

I agree with Stihlbolts, propably not going to work. That said I would remove the bimini completely (I do not think we put ours out at all last year) and go with the set up which looks great by the way. Welcome to CSR!!!

I think you will have to measure it to be sure. I am doubting anyone on the board will have the same setup as you are proposing. (BTW....is that a factory Sea Ray Tower or an aftermarket tower?) Even it it clears the Bimini while it is up, it may not clear it while you are deploying or folding it.

There are several folks on the board who have had tower speakers though and they may be able to advise you on the best way to route wires and tie all this into your sound system.

What if instead of mounting it speakers and lights down, you mounted it with speakers and lights on top... might work that way and allow you to keep the Bimini in place...

I looked at it again and I think Dave is right you are just going have to measure to see if it will fit (although it does not look positive). You may want to give them a call (the kit company) and discuss the measurements with them. I think you would probably be ok if you just went with the speakers but with the light kit it is probably not going to work. Again you will have to measure to see.

I am just curious what is the purpose of the lights. Says you have a couple white lights going forward and a couple backwards. You doing some deer spotlighting on the lake  Ok yes I have just proved that I am from NC.

Dave - It does look like an original Sea Ray tower. Here is a side picture with the top out on a 2002 Sea Ray 220 SD.
