Hey folks - I'm finally troubleshooting my Waeco RPF-50 freezer. I pulled it out today to check out what was behind it and found that the freezer is only connected to DC power. The boat has a 110 box sitting right next to it, but there is no converter in there. Shouldn't the freezer have both an AC and DC connection? Isn't it supposed to run AC and fail over to DC when AC isn't available?
I think that MPS-35 converter will get me a little more power into the freezer while AC is available. Right now, it just isn't getting cold enough. Of course, if anybody wants to smack me around and just say it's an old frig and probably just failing or that it will never get terribly cold even if I put it on AC and get 25V into it.
Or what else am I doing wrong?
