hi,
I have a 2004 Sea Ray, 200 Sundeck. I park in an open drystack @ a Marina. It starts fine when put in the water. After running for an hour or so, and if I stop just the ignition (not the battery switch) for sometime (maybe an 30-45min), my boat would start and stop immediately. I don't have the radio on, only thing that's left on is the depth finder. Once I get jump started, I was able to continue boating after.

I have changed/replaced with a Brand new Marine battery, but still happens the same.

I'm not sure where & how the voltage drain is happening.

You shouldn't be having that problem - in actuality, you should be able to even have the radio blasting for hours and still be able to start your engine.

Do you have a DVM? Can you do an amperage draw test when you're in the water? With the key in the off position (and everything else off), jump the meter between the negative cable and the post. Record the number. Then, one by one, turn on things like the radio, depth and other small draw items (not the engine!), recording the new number each time.

But, before you do that... have the battery load tested - it might be bad. Also, clean and tighten ALL cables - start at the battery and work your way towards the engine, etc - just follow the wires. Remove the negative battery cable while you do this.
