Visibility of a Sedan Bridge in rain? Plastic windows ?

While out crusing in the open if the eletriconics r good no worries. If nec in close un-familiar chanels or marinas i open the center front curtian. the helm is far enuff back that you dont get wet at all.( well on the 56 anyway)

I keep several coats of wax on the eisenglass and the water rolls off just fine. I have a windshield with wipers as well but I prefer to look through the eisenglass in the rain. My biggest problem is with leaking zippers and water falling on the dash board.

Fact of the matter is, I've been caught in lots of rain storms in my four previous express cruisers with wipers. The wipers just suck in providing visibility.

If the rain is hard enough to preclude visibility off the bridge boat, you're not seeing further than the bow on an express with wipers anyway.

I you look at my post #16 in this thread 4 of the 5 Mackrolon windows are shown, above the glass windshield. The lighting in the photo is deceptive - the Mackrolon windows are as clear as the glass windshield. If you want some additional close up photos let me know.

Did you try spraying inside and outside seams with 303 Fabric Guard? I had several leaks until I used it. Now we're dry as a bone inside the canvas. Amazing stuff. Never thought it would work.

Is EZ2CY any better with the rain? I was considering upgrading, but may put it off til next year, $11,000. My windows aren't that bad yet. We did get stuck in a few rain storms and we managed. The A/C - Heat on the bridge helps with the fogging.

I was looking at that window-wiper insert thing, but the one I saw wasn't very attractive. It would be nice if you could stow it, and just zip it in when needed. Like snap the center panel up, and zip in the wiper panel.

$11K?! Holy crap! I redid my bridge with strataglass with the OEM 2 years ago and it was something like $3.5K....

EZY2...basically the cost of your entire fuel budget for the year. I was quoted $15K for EZY2 the 560, I'll stick with the OEM Strataglass as well for 1/3 of the cost.
