I'm thinking of going over to the Vineyard the weekend of the 24th with my winter gear , was wondering if anyone knows when they start closing the marinas or if any are still open then.

Although Oak Bluffs is closed......Just pull up and dock (no charge)...Power generally stays on until November 1st.....Best kept secret!!!

Agreed.

You can always pull up to Black Dog Wharf in Vineyard Haven or the the Tisbury Town Dock if Black Dog is busy... which is highly unlikely. The town dock is just West of Black Dog Wharf, through the mooring field of sailboats.

If you favor Edgartown, I'm sure you'd be able to dock at the Harborside Hotel or the town finger piers.

Menemsha is a nice place for a quiet getaway. There's never anyone at the docks there... very easy.

Don't think I have to worry about where to stay on the Vineyard. I'll be on the boat Saturday at the marina cleaning and emptying it out.
