Video of heading home on Four Suns

Gary

How do you minimize the you tube video with out the whole page????

I don't understand the question...

Thanks Gary,
if you look at my post 17 you will see the whole page opens for the video
my question to you is how do you make it in your format
just the video
thanks....

I believe he's asking how do you 'paste' the youtube video in the post without a full view page.

Copy the link for the youtube video, then click on 'post reply' not 'post quick reply', then click on the youtube button in the toolbar and paste the link inside the code.

I thought it was a good job docking... At least Susie put the camera down to help tie up.

I use my thruster almost every time I dock. Sometimes just a half second, but it does help. It is great for getting off a dock as you describe.

My concern though, is that I depend on it too much, I keep meaning to practice docking and pretend I don't have it. I don't want it to get ugly if I am out somewhere and it breaks.

Did you ever fix your cablemaster? I see the shore cord laying on the platform.

Thank you Doug....

What doug said on the YouTube thing....

I have not fixed the cablemaster yet. I wouldn't have used it there anyway as I just undocked to go fill up the boat and get a pumpout and was coming back to the slip.

I'm heading down to the boat today to fix a couple things and get a parts list together including the cablemaster... gotta love boating.

Gary,

Good job.....Annapolis, man I miss that place. I am thinking about a Bimini trip this winter. Let me know if you have an interest in going. Between the both of us we have enough spares to rebuild both boats twice. I will be heading out from Wrightsville Beach, NC.

Mark

Thanks doug.....

It looks like either your starboard trim tab is considerably more down than your port, or something is hanging down there - it seems like there is a different shape of wake on the starboard side.

Oh yeah... Those videos give the impression there is a head behind a viewfinder... there is not. It's one of those flip cam things (one handed operation) and that's my arm hanging out the window/side of the boat... not my upper body... and if I fell off, the boat would crash into shore at the south end of the Chesapeake Bay several hours later. We generally follow the rule: "One hand for the boat and one hand for you" and there are plenty of rails to move around.

And I do wear my life jacket... with a strobe... (Rick forgot to mention that)

Falling off is always a danger but... so is driving down the Interstate with someone texting and driving.

What did you say? I was driving down the Interstate texting and driving...

Oh, yeah. G-man always wears protection. Sometimes he uses protection with a strobe light. I guess it makes it easier to see and be seen that way.

Actually I didnt think Gary's wake was that big. Wh en I first watched the video, I thought it looked like a very efficient wake, which would explain his fuel mileage and cruise speed. I always attributed big wakes to inefficiency. For a 55,000 lb planing boat, cruising at 27+ knots, I thought that wake looked pretty good.

A less efficient boat would be burning more fuel, going slower and pushing a wake that would attract every jet ski in the area. (This was not off a wake, it was in the ocean off of Barnegat)
