We had an unidentified smell coming from what we thought was our fridge. Ultimately, we tracked it down to some spillage in the bilge area, under the port side stateroom. I'm thinking it might have been one of our old overflows from the stupid sump. THAT issue was fixed by pluming the waste water from the galley sink right out the side of the boat & I tell ya, nothing more fun than drilling a big hole in the side of your boat!
I captured this while on our summer holidays, 2013. All in all, despite the fact that I blew off a couple hours of holiday time doing this job, I'm happy to have done it to get a glimpse of the area behind the fridge. Learned a little bit more about my wife's boat ;-)
AND, I'm sharing this exclusive viewing with you all here first - the video isn't even live on my YouTube Channel. I figured you guys would appreciate this material the most, anyway . . .

Nicely done. I really like the ending shots on there where you show your beautiful boat in profile. Love it!

I have the same fridge. The doors opened the other way. I decided to change them around. It took hours. I'm sure if I had the right tools it would have been quicker. That AC valve, I wonder if it's the same in the bow? Does your fridge vibrate the whole boat when the compressor kicks on? Keep the videos coming.

Thanks for posting the video, very informative as usual. I have often wondered about the debris that is left behind by the folks at Sea Ray. Every boat I have owned had construction waste lying in hidden enclosed areas. At least it has only been sawdust and plywood scrap, I have found sandwich wrappers, cigarette packs and other things left in the wall cavities of my home by the building crew.
The valves on the a/c discharge lines must be so that if one line begins to slow or becomes partially blocked, you can adjust the valve on the other line to direct more water to the slow one, or if one unit is not going to be used for an extended period of time, you can stop the water from being pumped through the idle unit. Both the discharges on my boat have the valves, and they can be easily reached through the cabinets next to them through the Velcro held hatches.

Paul,

As usual, great video! The Admiral wants me to replace the microwave with a convection microwave this spring. Looks like the only way to remove it involves removing the fridge first.

Yes, Andy, the microwave is screwed down (up) from underneath. Taking the fridge out was actually pretty straightforward once I figured out what was what.

Taking yours out will also provide an opportunity to give the fan a quick clean and see what the boys at Sea Ray's plant left behind for you ;-)
