Vhf radio shutting off

My VHF radio shuts off about 5 seconds after it turns on. I hear a loud beeping, on the screen it says "low battery" then shuts down. It's a Cobra radio

Oh you meant the radio battery. I cant find any information in the manual regarding an internal battery

When you turn on your radio it will perform a display test. Everything will light up on the display, including the low battery icon. The display test lasts a couple seconds, after which you will get the normal operating display.

Please ignore the low battery icon during power-up. After the display test is done you can then see if the low battery icon is showing. If the batteries are low then the low battery icon will be flashing.

But his radio is shutting off after the message which isn't good.
I would suggest that the power wiring, terminations, and fuses be taken apart and reterminated / examined. If, for example, the strands in those tiny power wires were fraying and down to one or two strands there would be a significant voltage drop.... My thoughts....
