Vhf Programmable?

Do they have VHF models that are programnable these days to skip certain channels during the scan function? There is something being broadcasted on one channel on my lake that my radio refuses to skip over despite adjusting the squelch.

Some of them, yes. You can also program to scan only favorite channels.
