Hey Shaps - Probably none of my business, but I bought the same thing last year (for about the same price) but it was called a vessel view 1.5.
I just did a quick search and this is what I found under vessel view 4.

The title caught my eye thinking a vv4 had nema 2000 but mine is only 0183.
I’ll delete this post if you think it hinders the sale.

Is it a direct replacement for the SC5000? Just plug and go? I have a 2007 40DA with the QSB 380s.

You will have to investigate the harness needed. If you find the number you need, I can check to see if the one shipped to me with my unit is the same. Since I was a gasser I purchased a harness on eBay. But with the correct harness, it was plug and play. I did need to resplice my nema 0183 wires from the gps into the new connector but that was simple.

Some reading material I used.

A quick call to mercury customer service will confirm what cables you will need for rigging it up.

When I installed my VesselView 703 they gave me everything I needed including a wiring diagram. They made it plug & play.

Good morning. Is this still available. I have this unit and my screen is going out. Trying to figure out to plug and play with used unit or upgrade with newer system

Where did you get the 703. Not getting very far finding a plug and play kit for QSC-500’s.

Here is all the rigging documents mercury sent me to rig a 703 for my boat. YMMV
