Over the past couple weeks my Port gauge cluster would sometimes not work when I started the engine. I would turn engine off and restart and it would begin working. Now yesterday Port gauges not working, Stbd gauge cluster fluctuating all over the place, and Vessel View starts up with "Diesel Calibration" screen. I've seen some older posts/threads on same issues but didn't see any resolutions. I'm going to see if I can check the connections at the Vessel View unit. Appreciate any advice or suggestions..

Mark, which version of VesselView do you have? Regardless, I believe the connectors for the gauges should be three-pin and marked "System Link" or "Easy Link". I think you would also want to check the ten-pin connectors going in and out of the junction boxes you probably have.
The symptoms would seem to me to indicate a problem with the Vessel View. I had a problem with my gauges flipping sides. The fix was to re-set the VesselView gauge settings. On my VV4, under Settings...EasyLink there are Port and Stbd selections, I would check those and make sure they are enabled. I would imagine you have similar selections whatever VV version you have, but they may be marked differently.

Hi AL,
Thanks for the response. I have the SC5000. I cannot seem to get to any different screen on the VV other than "Start Diesel Calibration". I disconnected batteries hoping to restart but no difference. I'll have to check the connections behind dash. The only thing I did about a month ago was install an LED tape light to light up my dash switches. Maybe I bumped something..

Did you find what your problem was???
I have the same issue I don’t have a diesel
2005 searay 390 DA I have smartview half my gauge not working on the starboard side I swapped the wire on both side and I transfer the problem I purchased a new smartview
And it was fine for about 1 month and it’s back??
Any idea need help my next step I will change the harness but I don’t want to...

Mine is intermittent but not as bad as it was. I bought fine barrel type diamond cleaner rods to clean the connections of smartview and every connection behind the dash. I disconnected the connections, cleaned, then put back together. Frustrating for sure...
