Vessel View Fault HELP Transmission Overtemp!

Agree it's the sensor, but those coolers should be checked occasionally.

Thanks for all help and tips! I will be checking those coolers much more often now.

There is serial number tag on the top of the tranny. It has the gear ratio listed too.

Here's what I have:

Make: ZF Hurth
Model: HSW 63 UV-2.0
Ratio: 2.0:1
Serial #: 18411 N

Perfect, give them a call, ask for a quote, see if they ship or go local if possible and ask your questions. Let us know what ya find out.

Hey @bmay1909 .. what was the result in the end?
I had this alarm go off today but only after an hour or so and then only at low RPM... Found this thread so will try a lot of things mentioned. One thought though.. if I remove the hoses from the tranny heat exchanger, does raw water escape..my boat is in the water so should i close the seacocks?

Hey Greg,
It ended up being a faulty sensor for me. I swapped the transmission temp sensor from the port to starboard engine and the fault moved to the other engine. I had a local marine store order the correct part and it was and easy fix.

I did close my sea cocks. Not sure if you have to but I did just to be sure.
