Says here that Verizon is ready to start selling the I-pad. I heard this was coming but thought I'd never see the day.

The IPAD is true but the IPhone has yet to be offered officially.

I think the rise in cost of the data plans effectively kills the viability of the 3G version of the iPad. The MiFi is cool device -> but the verizon 5gb/$60 per month for 2year price structure is a tough nut.

Virgin Mobil (Sprint Network) offers the MiFi with an unlimited data / $40 per month - with no contract price structure. Much more attactive in my view. I use this device, and am quite pleased with it.

I don't know if you can say they are selling a Verizon iPad. It's just a wifi ipad that you can get now, like at best buy.
