I noticed over the weekend that i have a small valve cover leak, and was wondering if i should use the cork, or the rubber valve cover gasket set. Just wondering which one would be better......:smt100
Robert.

Definitely, definitely use Fel-Pro marine rubber gaskets and nothing else. They are a soft "silicone-ish" rubber that won't leak.

GREGG,

Was comming of the lake and shut her down at the dock, and could smell oil burning, so i removed the eng. cover and started looking. I found the leak, although very small, still a leak, want to take care of it this week, so im going to replace them both, and be done with it.....
Robert.

Chris,
thank you for the info, thats what i wantedto know,i'll go with the rubber ones.......

ABYC standards do not permit the use of cork in a marine application. The risk is fire

I use Fel Pro exclusively on the boat and on my cars. I don't like doing the same job twice. :smt021
