Vacuflush vacuum switch assembly

Has anyone ever found a source to purchase the seal at the end of the plunger. Seems expensive to purchase complete assembly just to replace one small rubber seal.

Rather than a seal I assume you mean the rubber diaphragm.

Mine failed when I was on a cruise. Stopped in at a hardware store and bought an inner tube for a wheelbarrow. Made my own with the intention of replacing it properly when I returned.

Upon seeing the price I just cut out another piece of innertube for my spare parts supply onboard. That was 6 years ago and I still haven't used the second piece.

Thanks for the inner tube idea. I tried using a heavy rubber glove and had no luck. Hoping someone knows the supplier vacuflush uses for their diaphram part in the vacuum tank.

Humm....I just replaced the vacuum tank switch assembly at $155.00 dollars.
(Not bad in boat dollars)
Never thought about fixing the old one...it didn't smell so good!
I couldn't get it in the trash quick enough.
The problem is reaching the darn thing and the nature of the dirty job.
So, it's not something I want to mess with more than once.
Maybe it's just me......

I don't know if they can provide any help, but my first thought would be to contact Dometic Sealand directly, or a supplier like Northeast Sanitation.

I've replaced the whole switch assembly too. Relatively speaking, it is a cheap part and will likely outlast my boat ownership. Very simple fix too.

I misunderstood what you were looking for Tim. I thought it was the o-ring. My like is useless!
