Is it possible to splice a piece of the 1 & 1/2 inch pressurized sanitation hose into the system versus replacing the entire hose? I have an air leak where the hose bends before attaching to the pumping unit. The rest of the hose still looks good, so, I was hoping I might be able to replace @ 4 feet of it and splice it in. The alternative is replacing the whole thing, yanking the toilet, pulling and threading the entire hose out and back thru bulk heads. Needless to say, not fun.

My port vaccine line blew out in the bilge just as it cleared the bulkhead. I cut the bad section out then spliced one new hose using schedule 40 pvc fittings. Took care of the problem.

The only downside would be creating a possible clog point. Other than that, nothing wrong with splicing.

The smallest “choke point” (by design) in a VacuFlush system is the bottom of the toilet. If “it” can get past that, it should be all clear to the pump. I doubt a double end barbed PVC splice would be narrower than the output diameter in the toilet.

Just "possible"... not likely, but possible. An area where maybe toilet paper can catch.

So the solution is to not put toilet paper down. LOL

Our policy is if you didn’t eat it doesn’t go in the head.

The side benefit is that we can use high-quality comfortable paper, not the super thin stuff.
