I know there are a lot of Vacuflush threads on the various forums here. I've been through most of them for the last couple of days but wanted to post my specific situation before I start tearing things apart.

Sealand VacuFlush system with two heads on-board. About a month ago one of the heads developed a clog. One worked and one didn't. Mechanic came out and found a 2x3 inch piece of plastic in the system. Poor guy had to disassemble the entire system top to bottom to find it. She's new to me so I suspect it was in the system prior to us purchasing it. The working head was flushing purely off of the pressure from the pump.

Fast forward a month. System has worked and been used lightly on the weekends. Maybe 10 flushes form a crew that understands the rules and consequences of abusing the system. The river is cold and the fish are angry... nobody wants to swim home. Turned the system on yesterday and no vacuum to either head. Water stays in the bowl. I noticed the S pump doesn't make the typical "KA-THUNK" sound that I expect although it does run constantly. It's more of a back and forth swooshing sound in the pump itself.

I'm assuming the problem is with the duckbill valves and I just need to replace them. Since I can't flush the system I know this is going to be a crappy job. Hence why I would REALLY appreciate a second opinion before I dig into this.
