2001 Sea Ray Sedan Bridge 400

Mercruiser horizons 350
Bought a new to me 2001 sea Ray sedan bridge 400. When I turn head switch on the pump doesn’t stop pumping. Would this be duck bill fittings? If so would that vacu flush pump take 1.5 inch duck bills? Thanks.

On our 93 330 we had 1 1/2” bills. That said I’d take the old ones off first and make sure. But start with the easy stuff first, check all your clamps, and install a rebuild kit on the toilet itself. That’s easier than duck bill removal.

leak on the seal of the toilet is also common. Do you have water in the toilet bowl / bowls?

Yes water is holding in bowls. It stopped today and holding pressure. Going to keep a eye only it.

Sometimes i will flush a bowl of clean water down cleans a path thru the pump assembly to avoid any hang up in the duck bills mine are in a shitty location to service

Mine were impossible to service. One at each corner in the stern. I could barely get a finger on them never mind any kind of service. 2 days on the boat and the VG plugged up. I had the Vacuflush removed and went to MasterFlush macerating toilets. They use a little more water, but the flush every time. Best money spent on the boat so far.

When I got the boat used I payed for a delivery captain to go over all the systems / maintenance on the boat, regarding the toilet the big recommendation was to clean/ flush the bowl monthly and apply a little silicon lube to the seal on the ball valve with a gloved hand to extend the life of the seal.

Can hurt I spose
