Good morning all,
My toilet doesn"t flush anymore but the pump goes for about a minute! There is no clug and the tank is empty. I observed that there is a leak behind the toilet and the manual desribes 2-3 options! Can it just be a crack Bowl or a leak at that makes the pump not efficient? A local guy came and look at it (while I was away) and the repair is approx. 2K!!! I know the pump works fine! Any tricks or advise please?

Thanks

The reason I’m asking, you mentioned a water leak behind the toilet. That shouldn’t cause the toilet not to flush. Sounds like two issues, maybe?

One thing i want to pass along. This happened to use a couple of years ago. Someone used the toilet with the pump not being turned on. This caused the line to be full and it couldn’t pressure up and wouldn’t flush. I plunged the toilet and everything started working fine. Just thought I’d throw that out there.

Have you verified you have suction to the toilet?
No but I believe it to be ok. I was talking with a mechanic who told me to undo the hose right at the pump to verify the pump succion, is this what you mean?

The vacuflush owner manual mentions that it could affect the pump's performance.

Yes, I would try that. Then you’ll know if your creating suction or not. If you’re not, you’ll know the problem is with the Vacuflush system. If you have vacuum the problem is with the toilet or the line from the toilet. Hope this helps

Figure out where the leak is from. If the pump runs it means you're not keeping/holding a vacuum.
Can the leak behind the toilet be the reason? Then, just replacing the toilet and fittings would do the job!?
