I usually check and clean my ac seacock every 2 weeks with how hot it's been around here (100 +/- daily) and generator not as often (every few months). Since I bought the boat (brand new), I have yet to check the seacocks for the twin engines. I have about 150-170 hrs on the engines now. How often do you check the engine seacocks usually? Was never really told when to check those compared to AC and generator which get checked all the time.

Thanks!

"Check" the seacocks- for what? Not sure what your question is...

You say you "check and clean" your A/C seacock every two weeks- clean what? Are your referring to diving under the boat to be sure it's free of growth?

Or are you incorrectly referring to a sea strainer as a seacock?

Your strainers should be pulled periodically and cleaned if nesscary. It depends on how much debri is in your water that you boat in.

Sorry for the confusion, but I was referring to the strainers for each

We clean our strainers once a year. There is very little or no debris in them after 6 months of boating.

If you need to clean one strainer then clean them all. Same junk can get pulled into any of them. If you have clear strainers you may be able to see into them and see if they need to be cleaned.
