After a 6 hr run there appears to be some red tranny fluid beneath the port v drive maybe a cup and cant find any obvious gasket leak, dipstick was on tight as fluid was checked before trip.....any ideas suggestions, much appreciated... Tom

Are you positive it is tranny fluid?

That is more than likely coolant that has found its way to a low spot in the bilge. Check all of your hose clamps on the cooling hoses and you will likely find a few that are loose enough to seep. Half hour in the bilge a few times per season tightening hose clamps is part of the ritual.

a neighbor of mine at the marina had a tranny leak where the fluid hose enters the oil cooler. check these connections. his was completely loose.

Hi!
Not very common for these to leak at seals or gasket, it is possible to leak on control block, but also very rare...
I would check connections on cooler lines, neutral indicator can cause leaks and oil filter cap.
But do check that she is leaking...
Regards, Goran!
