V-Drive Lube Type

I need to replace transmission lube on 96 330DA, manual calls for Dexron III. Seems Dex III is like unobtanium now days what type/grade lube has everyone been using? And is there a filter that can be cleaned, inspected and /or replaced?

I did a search but could not find answer, if there is a thread please link here.

I have Hurth/ZF, and I use Mobile 1 ATF. It’s the only this I’ve found that meets the specifications.

Oh...and the filter can be washed...it's metal screen, and new are not expensive
