Used Boat Value, Whats it really worth?

This is my first post so please take it easy on me....

There is a listing on ebay for a 1998 270 Sundancer SE. I don't think i'm permitted to post a link so here are the basics:

7.4L Merc MPI w/ Bravo III
AC & heat
Kohler generator
244 hrs
Triple Axle painted trailer
windlass
Freshwater Only
Double Bimini w/ full canvas

From the pictures it is extremely clean

Buy it now price is $39,995, NADA is $27K-$30K with options not including the trailer....

Boat is in Las Vegas (local for me so no freight), my question is what is it really worth?

Whatever someone, like you, is willing to pay. That's not a smart-ass answer. That's the real economic answer. You have to look and compare this boat with other boats and decide if this is the one you want and how much you are willing to pay for it. Then you need to do your due diligence including, but not limited to a marine survey and an engine survey.

Looks like a fairly decent price. Offer him $30,000 with a check for $2,000 pending Sea Trial and Survey - FIRM! Good Luck.

A similar boat to that was just sold here, sold for 38,900. The boat was by no means perfect and did not have air or a gen in it, however it did have twins.

In april 07 I bought a 1999 270se and 07 tandem axel trailer for 36k. Boat had 150hrs, also had new OD. We love the boat, its the perfic size for what we do. "EARLY TIMES" now has 365 hrs ,no major problems. Good luck with you'r purchase Nicky

I was going to offer him $30,000 but the admiral put the kybosh on the upgrade seeing as how we've only had our current boat since June.

Half of NADA would be a good place to start. Don't go much above that and have your check book with you. Be prepared to write a check to escrow for the full amount to be released upon satisfactory sea trial and survey.
