WOW, if it's like some of the rivers I've seen around here, the ice is definitely going to present a hazard for some time to come.

Wow, that really sucks. How thick is the ice?

You know GFC, I don't know for sure how thick it is, but the bay hasn't frozen completely for along time. I would bet there are some fairly thick area's since a lot of the bay will freeze sooner than later, so those area's I'll bet are several inches thick.

Our commodore for our club sent out that message yesterday. Upper part of the bay which is more light brackish has some very large ice pieces. The ones that hang out under the water with no top showing are the bad ones.
Oh well, a few more weeks and it should be gone.
