60 degree Fall weather in the South now where it may dip into upper 20s for a few night hours, but still plenty of days for boating before full December winterization. Thinking to run RV antifreeze in via muffs, engine temp up, just for those occasional nights A bad plan? Open for feedback or experience. 180 4.3L. Thanks

A couple of nights in the 20's is not going to cause any problems, as long as the daytime temps are warm. It takes several cycles of low 20's at night and daytime highs below 45 before you get into a freeze situation. If you want to be save, running the antifreeze through can't hurt, or just pull the drain plugs on the block and manifolds. I personally would pull the plugs and drain it in between uses.

Well just ran Camco flush kit with antifreeze for curiosity, then drained all hoses to see how effective it was. Glad I pulled all hoses, including the power steering cooler. What is the purpose of the drain plugs on the sides of the manifolds, especially if the hoses on the bottom are disconnected? Is there a different internal manifold chamber the plugs drain? Thanks.
