Upgrading RL70 DISPLAY

Looked at an older 340 (2001) that has the RL70 and radar. If I wanted to upgrade to a color display, what units should I take a look at? It doesn't look like there's much more room to expand the existing cut-out so the "footprint" would need to be the same as the RL70.

if you want it to work with you current antenna, get an rl70crc. those old hsb2 radar antennas may not be compatible with newer equipment.

The radar will either be incompatible, compatible with a hardware upgrade, or compatible with a software upgrade in regards to using it with a current display. You can call Raymarine (800-800-1020) with the radar serial number to find out. If it is not compatible with a software upgrade (the easiest) then I would pull the whole system and put a Garmin 4208 in there with a GMR18 dome. This will be less than $3K and give you the latest technology.
