I finally got my stereo upgraded on my 240. I bought some Alpine 7 inch mids and tied them to the stock speakers in the cockpit. I now have those four speakers running through a Kicker 350.4 amp. I also bought another clarion remote and intalled on the transom. I am very happy with the results, and now I am thinking about buying the 10 inch Alpine free air marine sub to top it all off. I have never posted any pics before so hopefully this works.

I know what you did during the nice weather last weekend! The pictures look great and there is a nice coat of wax on your boat! It's so clean! I was out polishing my old 250 DA so I could sell it! I wish we'd get more weather like that!!

Project was last week, I spent last weekend on the LAKE!!!!!

DOH!! Scoundrel!! We'll be out soon as well. I'm getting the 300 DA ready this weekend and will try to work in a tune-up somewhere along the line too. Gotta get her ready for the San Juans this Summer!

Which lake and how was it? Lots of stuff on the lake or is the water pretty low?

On Saturday took her out to LAKE CDA for a shakedown. Went well, water was down a little but the lake was glass all day, I have never seen it like that. On sunday pulled to lake roosevelt and spent the day on the beach. L.R. is 45 feet low, quite a sight to see.

Wow!! 45 Feet!! I guess they are expecting a lot of run off from the mountains! Man, that's way down, but I'm sure there is a lot of snow melting and on the way. I've never seen CDA like glass because there are usually too many boats! Probably not many last weekend though. I hope it warms up to average or above average temps so we can get back out there too.

I am with you. I cant wait for consistant nice weather. It will come.......

I have a 240 DA 2007 as well. I sealed a JL 10 and placed it under the back seat all the way toward the starboard side then cut a 10 inch port in the seat facing the bow and used a 10' white marine grille to cover the port. The sound is amazing as it is running off a 300 watt Rockford alone. I do not recommend free air subs they just won't give you that thump you will want. I also mounted 2 amps in similar fashion. I will send u pics this week as I am going down to clean the wagen this week, K

Just curious - why did you settle on the Alpines?? I've used Alpine's auto gear quite a bit but have no experience with it on the marine side. It seems that mostly JL Audio, MB Quart and Clarion are used to upgrade boat stereos, but you rarely hear anyone use Alpine even though in my opinion they make some of the best sounding gear.

So how come Alpine??
