I am starting the noodling on my next project around updating the interior. I wanted to get opinions and wisdom from the group on a couple of things...
1) I am thinking about site sponsor Restoration Marine wood laminate and putting in over select spots in the cabin. Some of those locations have the sliding panels that seem to be cut strips of wood, or scored to allow them to bend and roll. Does anyone know about replacements for these door panels? Any suggestions on how to address these panels should I update the cabinet around them?
2) One of the POs added a nice SteelCase? Leather sofa in place of the original port side bench seat. Problem is it is a PITA to have to move this thing, stand it on its end and twist it out of the way to get the engine hatch open. So I am thinking about going to the original bench style seat. Has anyone had to rebuild one of these style benches? Would like to discuss the project if so.
3) Admiral is hammering me for new carpet. Should I do that early or last as it relates to timing of projects? I know, I know-it's the admiral and happy admiral makes for happy captain. I just don't want to get something out of order. Any lessons learned would be appreciated....
