Does it have the silver sun Sundancer logo?

You can find some vinyl emblems on eBay. A good sign shop can provide the stripes in matching colors and can cut them to size.

Yes, he can find them but he wants to update.

Thanks for the reply guys , it has the silver plastic sundancer emblems , they hot to GO !!! I was thinking of going with the
Vinyl , get rid of the super structure stripes , The boat has tan canvas ,bulk/gold boot stripe , not sure what to do there .
I would like to have changed to bulk/silver but I don't think that will fly. I thought someone on the 98/400 da or the 380 da site made some changes ..

Dennis is the guy I copied on my 270. Thanks for the idea!!! I am now removing the old school Cruisers logo and replacing with the raised chrome insignia's and lettering, similar to the Sea Ray the OP changed. It will look so much more updated with them.

I have been asked several times how old my 270 is and people are shocked to hear 21 years old. Shiny and updated looks great.

Here is Dennis post and photo.

"Lazy Daze, I redid my black and gold stripes to black and silver (nickel-ish) a few years back, too. One the best and least expensive aesthetic improvements. It's amazing how much difference new stripes can make. While I was at it, I got rid of the dated "sun" Sundancer logo, too. I used the newer style Sundancer logo and then had the "two sixty" part made at a vinyl/graphic shop just to set it off a little more. This newer Sundancer logo is made out of those raised/gel-like lettering, by the way - not just flat vinyl.

You can certainly take the old stuff off, but I agree with Shamrock that you're really not going to save much money doing it yourself. But of course, if you just want to do it "because", then sure, why not. When you get the old striping off -- heat gun, eraser tool (I used the one made by 3M), etc, along with acetone/goo be gone/naptha/etc for the residue -- you won't really have so much of a "shadow" as you will a raised area under the striping. From years of UV degradation and compounding, the gelcoat that is NOT under the striping will be thinner. But, as noted, if you're putting the striping back in the same place it won't really matter.

Here is what I did this year. Removed top stripes, new bottom stripes, and replaced m emblems. I was pretty happy with the result and feel it updated the look. i added an older pic for reference.

If vinyl details are okay with you then you can get a local sign shop to make up pretty much whatever you want. Just bring them a picture of what you want along with the dimensions.
I removed the top stripes from my old boat and it certainly updated the look, but there was still some ghosting from the stripes when I sold it years later.
Had a sign guy make a more updated Sundancer vinyl emblem on that boat too. It looked great.
Debated about deleting the topside stripes from this boat too, but since there is a navy blue band around the hull I think I’m leaning towards replacing them with new ones in the Spring. If I replace them, then I’ll probably just go with a copy of the original Sundancer emblem too. Pretty sure the sign guy I used last time already has the emblem in his computer.

Yup your is the boat I saw , I love it looks great ,my dilemma is that the canvas is tan and the boot stripes are black& gold , I would like to get rid of the gold stripe and put bulk/silver but don't think it will look good with black and silver/pewter with the tan canvas .

That is what I will have until I get the black canvas I want.

Is there any chance you'd be willing to share your source for those Sea Ray emblems and the decals? Those look great. Really great....

Emblems will be dealer items or eBay. For my new boat I did google image searches of newer model boats until I found the logo's I wanted a got them from the company.
