Is there an underwater hand held, or head band type light thats really water proof ???

I would look for a dive light. they are waterproof to 130 ft, just need to make sure they do not produce so much heat that they can not be turned on in the air.

That is good advice my friend. :thumbsup::thumbsup: I have been a PADI Master Scuba Diver for many years now and I've seen several high powered dive lights burnt out this way.

The first one would provide you better light. I would watch the O-Rings as they could wear quickly, if you are not using for diving ( use for less than 33 ft depth) you should be OK. The second one may be a little weak in the light department, would be a good backup for an emergency use but would fail to provide enough light to go a lot of good.
Either light appears to be able to be used in air or water.
Just my opinion.

If that is all that you are using it for, you are good to go. :thumbsup::thumbsup:

FYI
01. keep your o-rings lubricated with silicone grease to maintain a water-proof light

02. be careful that the o-ring does not "roll" when tightening the lamp head onto the dive light

03. when the dive light is not being used for extended periods of time, loosen the lamp head to allow the battery to "off-gas"

GOTCHA.....:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Make sure you get the most light for the buck. I have never had anyone diving with me state "I wish my light was dimmer. "

I bought a plastic "Ike" light in 1993 for diving in Okinawa - it's still my spot light of choice in the boat. It uses 4 DD batteries, is extremely durable, and plenty bright. Having said that, the batteries last a really, really long time - note: We also have a bazillion candle power spot for use above water, but it burns through the rechargeable batteries pretty fast.
