U.S. Power Squadrons District 5 Southbound Cruise and Summer Rendezvous

Is anybody here doing the cruise or meeting us in Portsmouth? The Admiral and I are not taking our boat; instead we're going with an elderly couple on their 47' Mainship. For anyone interested in joining the fun, the southbound leg begins on 22 July:
- Saturday and Sunday nights at the Sailing Emporium in Rock Hall, MD
- Monday night at Spring Cove Marina, Solomons
- Tuesday and Wednesday night at the Tides Inn on the Rappahannock River
- Thursday, arrive at Tidewater Yacht Marina in Portsmouth, VA, Mile Marker 0 on the ICW

The Rendezvous is Thursday evening through Sunday morning. Then the northbound return leg begins on 30 July:
- Sunday-Tuesday nights at York River Yacht Haven, York River
- Wednesday night at Somers Cove, Crisfield, MD
- Thursday night, Tilghman on Chesapeake, Tilghman Island

My group is skipping the Rock Hall portion of the southbound leg, and planning to come all the way home on Sunday (about ten hours at 14 knots), assuming we can handle a full day of those Detroit Diesels droning away!

We start our vacation on the 22nd. Our home marina is the sailing emporium. We are leaving sunday the 23rd for spring cove in solomons for 5 nites. Hope to get to meet some club searay members.
