My forward is not working. Reverse works fine. I believe my clutch discs are worn. Doing pressure test tomorrow to confirm pump is working.

Does anyone know if it possible to change the clutch discs in frame or does the trans need to be removed. Its 220 lbs and the rear motor mounts are part of the transmission so the motor needs to be jacked up and supported.
Thanks for any guidance. Ed

Thinking that the Twin Disc is similar to the Hurth ZF 85 and others that the case must be opened with all of the internal shafts and gears in a vertical orientation. I don't think the gear can be split and reassembled as an "in frame"; too many things need to align.

Talked to local Twin Disc repair center....some can have clutch shaft pulled in frame but not this model. I'm pulling all the ancillaries off the engine and he is pulling the trans early next week. Said he would need it a 3 days providing he has parts in stock.
