TV upgrade on '04 390 DA?

Has anyone replaced the stock flat screen in the salon with an upgraded HD Digital LCD TV on this model and yr boat? I took the Zenith flat screen (not digital or particularly good picture) that came with the boat, out. It looks like the black wooden box holding the existing TV and mounted on the slide out bracket, was custom built in place, almost around that TV! The jacks have to be located on the new TV on the bottom to fit existing "mounting box", as an example. I have a 2000w inverter so I'm not concerned about the ac/dc issue. Is this slide out bracket and "mounting box" used on other boats of that era? If so how did you proceed?

I have a 04 340 and just purchased a 15.4 inch Polaroid hdtv, the measurements are very close to the older Zenith, Teekster in a post in sept. 08 recommend the unit, as it took only basic modifications to install. not sure about power plug and i am hoping that i can use the one in the boat. I know the Polaroid connectors are on the back and not the bottom like the Zenith so I may have to modify the backing mount. Once the install is complete I will report back
